CalculusTutors at Prepaze Academy for In-Person and Online

This is a course that is usually taken by students looking for a career in STEM. Calculus is heavily dependent on algebra skills, so it is critical that students have a strong understanding of those concepts. This course will include an exploration of limits, asymptotes, derivatives, and integrals.

What you'll learn

Unit 1 - Get introduced to the fundamentals of limits, the limits of rational and trigonometric functions, limits involving infinity, and continuity of piecewise functions:

Unit 2 - Develop an understanding of average and instantaneous rates of changes, the definition of a derivative, tangent and normal lines, graphs of derivatives, and differentiability.

Unit 3 - Strengthen derivative skills, apply constant and power rules, and learn about product rules, quotient rules, trig derivatives, derivatives of piecewise functions, and calculator derivatives.

Unit 4 - Learn about the fundamentals of the chain rule, the chain rule with trig functions, higher-order derivatives, and applied rates of changes.

Unit 5 - Get introduced to the fundamentals of implicit differentiation, tangent and normal lines, and related rates.

Unit 6 - Apply Rolle’s theorem and the Mean Value Theorem, the first and second derivative tests, and learn about local and absolute extrema.

Unit 7 - Learn about optimization and the application of minimizing and maximizing optimization.

Unit 8 - Develop fluency in the fundamentals of the derivatives of inverse functions, the derivatives of trig functions, and the derivatives of exponential and logarithmic functions.

Unit 9 - Apply the basic rules of integrals, integrals for polynomial and trig functions, integrals using the chain rule, and indefinite integrals.
