ACT Prep at Prepaze Academy lifts scores with a diagnostic-first plan built around how the ACT actually works — including the fast pace and the science-reasoning section that trips most students up. We find your gaps, remediate them, then teach the pacing, elimination, and shortcut strategies that keep you ahead of the clock. Taught in a small, synchronized cohort at 3 hours a week by friendly, patient coaches. The full ACT Prep syllabus, taught in order and revisited until it sticks.

Comma use, modifier placement, concision, and transitions, tested over and over across the section. Because the questions come quickly, recognizing the rule fast matters as much as knowing it.
- ✓Math through trigonometry, with calculator shortcuts
ACT math reaches further than the SAT — logarithms, matrices, basic trigonometry — with a calculator allowed throughout. Knowing which problems the calculator genuinely speeds up is part of the work.
- ✓Reading strategies for speed and accuracy
Four passages in thirty-five minutes leaves no room to read every line closely. Students try different approaches — questions first, or skim and locate — and settle on the one that holds up under time.
- ✓Science reasoning — reading graphs and experiments fast
Less a test of science knowledge than of reading charts, tables, and conflicting viewpoints under pressure. Students learn to find the trend a question asks about without decoding the whole experiment.

Whole tests under ACT timing, then a review that sorts errors into content gaps, misreadings, and rushing. Those three call for different fixes, and students rarely separate them on their own.

Small-group class
A set weekly schedule, a cohort moving through the full syllabus together, and the discussion that comes from working alongside other students at the same level. This is the main programme for most families.
1:1 private tutoring
Hours bought as a pack and scheduled around your student, with the whole session spent on exactly what they need — a topic they missed, an upcoming exam, or a subject moving faster than the class.

The student sits a full-length adaptive test first, so teaching starts from their actual section scores and question-level gaps rather than from a generic syllabus.

Each class takes one part of the test — the content behind it first, then how that content is actually asked about, including timing, elimination and when to skip.

Students work under real timing between classes on Unik, with full-length practice tests at set points through the program.

ACT Prep — questions parents ask
How are ACT Prep classes taught?
3 hours per week · small cohort. Prep book + full-length practice tests + score reviews included. Classes are small synchronized cohorts, so the group moves through the full syllabus together while pacing stays matched to each student's level.
Where can my child take ACT Prep?
In person at our Apex, NC; Morrisville, NC; and Dublin, CA centers, or live online from anywhere in the United States. Online classes use the same curriculum, the same small-group format and the same Unik platform.
Is ACT Prep aligned to my child's school curriculum?
Yes. In North Carolina we follow NC state standards; in Dublin, California we follow the California Integrated Math pathway. Online students are taught the standards for their own state.
Should we choose a small-group class or 1:1 tutoring?
A small-group class is the right fit for keeping pace with school across a term. 1:1 private tutoring suits a specific gap or a deadline, since the whole hour goes on exactly what that student needs. Families often use both.
Do you prepare students for the Digital SAT?
Yes. The programme is built for the Digital SAT: diagnostic-first remediation, real test strategy, and full-length adaptive practice tests on Unik, with a one-on-one review of every test.
