The full Kindergarten Math syllabus, taught in order and revisited until it sticks.
- ✓Counting & number recognition to 20
Saying the count sequence, writing the numerals, and matching each to a quantity. Reversed digits and skipped teen numbers are normal at this age and resolve with practice rather than correction alone.
- ✓One-to-one correspondence & comparing sets
Touching each object once while counting, and knowing that the last number said tells how many there are. Without this, counting is only recitation — it is the foundation all early number work rests on.
- ✓Sorting, patterns & positional words
Grouping objects by attribute, continuing a pattern, and using words such as above, beside and behind. Algebraic thinking begins with pattern, and spatial language supports the geometry that follows.
- ✓Basic 2D & 3D shapes
Naming circles, squares, triangles and their solid counterparts, and noticing what makes each one what it is. Describing shapes aloud — sides, corners, flat or curved — is what carries into later geometry.
- ✓Adding & subtracting within 10
Early number bonds: knowing that 7 is 5 and 2, or 3 and 4. Children who see these combinations rather than recount them on fingers carry a lasting advantage into first grade.

Small-group class
A set weekly schedule, a cohort moving through the full syllabus together, and the discussion that comes from working alongside other students at the same level. This is the main programme for most families.
1:1 private tutoring
Hours bought as a pack and scheduled around your student, with the whole session spent on exactly what they need — a topic they missed, an upcoming exam, or a subject moving faster than the class.

Students work problems with the teacher watching, so errors are caught in the room, and then work a set on their own before the session ends.

How are Kindergarten Math classes taught?
Two 45-minute classes each week. Textbook + Unik LMS access included. Classes are small synchronized cohorts, so the group moves through the full syllabus together while pacing stays matched to each student's level.
Where can my child take Kindergarten Math?
In person at our Apex, NC; Morrisville, NC; and Dublin, CA centers, or live online from anywhere in the United States. Online classes use the same curriculum, the same small-group format and the same Unik platform.
Is Kindergarten Math aligned to my child's school curriculum?
Yes. In North Carolina we follow NC state standards; in Dublin, California we follow the California Integrated Math pathway. Online students are taught the standards for their own state.
Should we choose a small-group class or 1:1 tutoring?
A small-group class is the right fit for keeping pace with school across a term. 1:1 private tutoring suits a specific gap or a deadline, since the whole hour goes on exactly what that student needs. Families often use both.
What if my child is behind, or ahead?
Both are normal and both are planned for. We re-teach missing fundamentals rather than pushing past them, and students who are ready move through material faster instead of waiting for the group.
