The full NC Math 3 syllabus, taught in order and revisited until it sticks.
- ✓Polynomial & rational functions
End behaviour, roots, asymptotes and holes. Rational functions demand careful attention to domain restrictions, an idea students meet properly for the first time here.
- ✓Exponential & logarithmic functions
Growth and decay, and the logarithm as the inverse that undoes them. Logs are widely disliked because they are defined backwards; treating one as a question — what power gives this? — settles most of the confusion.
- ✓Trigonometric functions
Extending sine, cosine and tangent beyond right triangles to the unit circle and to periodic graphs. Radian measure and the unit circle need to become second nature before PreCalculus begins.
- ✓Circles & geometric measurement
Arc length, sector area, radians and the equation of a circle. The shift from degrees to radians is a small change of unit that students find genuinely disorienting, and it matters for the trigonometry ahead.
- ✓Statistical inference
Sampling distributions, margins of error, and drawing conclusions from data with appropriate caution. Interpreting what a result does not prove is as much a part of the work as the calculation itself.

A set weekly schedule, a cohort moving through the full syllabus together, and the discussion that comes from working alongside other students at the same level. This is the main programme for most families.

Hours bought as a pack and scheduled around your student, with the whole session spent on exactly what they need — a topic they missed, an upcoming exam, or a subject moving faster than the class.

How are NC Math 3 classes taught?

Where can my child take NC Math 3?
In person at our Apex, NC; Morrisville, NC; and Dublin, CA centers, or live online from anywhere in the United States. Online classes use the same curriculum, the same small-group format and the same Unik platform.
Is NC Math 3 aligned to my child's school curriculum?
Yes. In North Carolina we follow NC state standards; in Dublin, California we follow the California Integrated Math pathway. Online students are taught the standards for their own state.
Should we choose a small-group class or 1:1 tutoring?
A small-group class is the right fit for keeping pace with school across a term. 1:1 private tutoring suits a specific gap or a deadline, since the whole hour goes on exactly what that student needs. Families often use both.
What if my child is behind, or ahead?
Both are normal and both are planned for. We re-teach missing fundamentals rather than pushing past them, and students who are ready move through material faster instead of waiting for the group.
